Local MP Blake Stephenson has been visiting schools across Mid Bedfordshire to understand the challenges they are currently facing but also to hear of success stories.
Blake spent some time at Orchard School & Nursery in Barton-le-Clay to see the wonderful culture they have created for children and their focus on working with local suppliers and businesses. They also discussed the Labour Government's plans to introduce VAT on private schools and the potential impact it could have.
He also visited Kingsmoor School, in Flitwick, and Aspley Guise Village School in recent days to talk about the ongoing Central Bedfordshire Council plans to switch from three-tier schools to a two-tier model and to meet some of the students in their learning environment.
Blake Stephenson MP said; "I am keen to work closely with schools across Mid Bedfordshire and will maintain a close relationship to help on issues where I can."
