Mid Bedfordshire MP Blake Stephenson highlighted the poor reliability of rail services from Flitwick and Harlington train stations at Prime Minister's Questions this afternoon (18th December).
Nearly 8 per cent of services during the evening rush hour on the Bedford Line have been cancelled since the summer, while 30 per cent have been more than 5 minutes late.
The poor service follows the new Labour Government handing out inflation busting pay increases to train drivers and local MP Blake was keen to raise this with the Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Unfortunately, the PM did not answer the question and instead suggested Blake should 'welcome' the poor service delivered by the Government.
