Blake Stephenson, the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, has been out across the constituency meeting local residents affected by the recent floods.
He also attended the site of the current A421 closure in Marston Moreteyne with local ward councillor Sue Clark to discuss the impact of the closure and to speak to National Highways about the plans to re-open the road.
Blake also met with residents in other villages in Mid Bedfordshire including Cranfield, Harlington, Clophill and Greenfield.
Blake has also been in close contact with the relevant authorities. This includes Central Bedfordshire Council, Bedford Borough Council, National Highways and Anglian Water, all of whom have different responsibilities and roles in the response.
As well as this he has sought assurances from the Flooding Minister and the Environment Agency and requested briefings about the Government’s involvement and support.
Blake's survey where you can share your experiences of the flooding so he can hold to account and support local authorities and government agencies to ensure this doesn't happen again in the future.
