Blake Stephenson, the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, has raised residents' concerns over the reliability of trains on the Bedford line with Govia Thameslink in Parliament, while also discussing the ongoing wait for step-free access at Flitwick station.
The local MP met with Govia Thameslink Railway at an event in the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday (16th October) and was keen to highlight a number of issues constituents have raised with him since his election.
He discussed the ongoing Access For All campaign to finally deliver step-free access at Flitwick station to ensure people with disabilities do not face barriers to public transport. Since being elected Blake has already written to Network Rail to press them to get work underway on step-free access as soon as possible, with similar issues at Harlington, and he has met with local campaigners.
Blake also raised the issue of reliability of trains along the Bedford line.
