Blake Stephenson, the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, has submitted a response to the East-West Rail consultation on their latest proposals for the line.
While Blake welcomes the fact East-West Rail could provide considerable benefits to the local area, especially if the Universal theme park gets the go ahead, he was keen to highlight significant concerns which have been raised by his local constituents.
This includes the potential closure of a number of local stations and the impact of increased train services on road and foot traffic at level crossings in areas such as Woburn Sands.
