Local MP Blake Stephenson has met with the Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner John Tizzard to discuss how they can work together to push for better funding for policing across Bedfordshire.
The newly elected Mid Bedfordshire MP recently wrote to the PCC urging a focus on ensuring rural towns and villages get their fair share of policing, improvements to road safety and a visible policing presence.
These issues were all discussed at the meeting as well as policing demands throughout the country and fighting for better funding for Bedfordshire policing.
