Local MP Blake Stephenson has led an adjournment debate in the House of Commons on the impact of recent flooding across his Mid Bedfordshire constituency.
Blake is determined to ensure lessons are learned from the recent response to the flooding and has been engaging with local authorities and government agencies, as well as writing to the Floods Minister urgently requesting flood recovery funding.
The Mid Bedfordshire MP also set up a survey on his website urging residents to share their experiences with him. After securing an adjournment debate for Wednesday 16th October, Blake then shared some of those experiences with the House of Commons and Floods Minister. He will also be following up by publishing a report on residents' views of the local response to flooding and what lessons should be learned.
