More than 6 million disabled people will start to receive a one-off Disability Cost of Living Payment, to be distributed by HM Government between 20 June and 4 July to qualifying households.
It is estimated to be available to 7,800 people in Mid Bedfordshire, and part of a wider package of support worth up to £1,350 to the most vulnerable households, on top of the £150 disability cost of living payment paid last year.
Commenting on this support, Blake said: "It is right that the Government supports the most vulnerable through difficult times, and I welcome the additional payments being made which will make a difference to households in our community".
