Local MP Blake Stephenson is continuing to fight for better protections from flooding for communities across Mid Bedfordshire by urging the Government to look at planning reforms.
Since the recent flooding across many of the villages in the Mid Bedfordshire constituency, Blake has been working to improve the response to any future flooding by securing a debate in Parliament, setting up a survey to hear residents' experiences and with regular questions to Government ministers.
And his latest question in the House of Commons was to ask Housing and Planning Minister Matthew Pennycock to look at planning reforms to ensure housebuilding does not create a greater flooding risk for communities.
