Two weeks on since the flooding, the A421 at Marston Moreteyne has partially opened this morning with a diversion up and down the slip roads.
Blake Stephenson MP has welcomed the re-opening but has committed to listening to any concerns residents have if the diversion causes traffic problems through Marston Moreteyne.
During the current diversion, traffic will exit at the junction and then rejoin the A421 via the entry slip road.
Local MP Blake met with Martin Fellows, from Highways England, at the site of the closure on Friday (4th October) who was hopeful the road would be able to re-open this week after significant progress had been made thanks to new pumps on site.
Specialist high volume pumps have been working at the site since the end of last week and around 11 million litres of floodwater is now being removed each day.
Blake's survey on the local response to the flooding remains open to provide your experiences.
